What Types of Training are Available?
Training can be effectively broken down into four categories:
Skill Training: Sport-specific training designed to focus on and enhance particular abilities or proficiencies needed for certain activities.
Strength Training: This involves the use of weight and resistance to build muscle mass and increase the strength of existing muscle tissue.
Flexibility Training: Flexibility Training involves careful stretching and movement techniques to increase suppleness and range of motion.
Cardiovascular Training: Known as Cardio, it’s designed to improve and increase heart and circulatory function. Cardio is also one of the key factors in weight control.
It is important that proper application of all four types of training are utilized together to fully achieve the desired training results.
