Why Do We Need It?

Without the right blend of proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, essential fatty acids and co-factors, our biochemical mechanisms are handicapped. When the system isn’t operating at full efficiency, we find ourselves, in general, more vulnerable to the ravages of ill-health, disease and injury. We become run down easier, are less able to think clearly and respond well to the many situations that arise in everyday life. Athletes are compromised in their ability to perform. They are unable to push themselves beyond prior boundaries because their bodies have no more reserves to draw upon. They get injured easier, and tire more quickly than if they were operating in peak efficiency. On the other hand, when we fill our nutritional needs in proper balance, when we keep the system running smoothly, we can enjoy a range of benefits. The body will be healthier, stronger, and more resilient. Mental clarity, energy and awareness are all improved. Athletes will enjoy increased performance, pushing themselves to their peak and finding that their bodies will be able to do what is demanded with less likelihood of injury or failure to meet the goal.
